Flutes recently released their second single “Kilburn” this month. The single was taken from their self-titled debut album and by the looks of the video, these boys don’t take short cuts when it comes to their art.
The video features the actress Lorraine Stanley who has appeared in Made In Dagenham and BBC’s recent series Mayday. After appearing in Paul Andrew Williams’ indie hit London to Brighton, she’s maintained cult indie status amongst her fans and peers.
She’s perfect in Flutes’ video for “Kilburn” where she flits between her normal day job and her illicit night-time activities with a faceless man, whom we never see. Her psyche unravels as the video comes to a close and we’re left with many questions. It’s a brilliantly directed video that matches the tragedy and melancholy within the song perfectly.
With beautifully made videos for “Kilburn” and “Auld Archie” under their belts, Flutes continually prove that their standards are high and they more than have the talent to match.
