Cave Painting’s “Rio” is taken from their forthcoming EP of the same name. The EP is out on 29th April via Third Rock Recordings. but we just couldn’t wait to present this sonically lush Brighton based band to you—so, they’re our UK Vinyl Video this week.
Soft vocals build along with the beats and stunning imagery here to create a beautiful picture. A girl wanders the night in a space helmet as colours and images wash over her like a dream. Although the video’s message isn’t very upbeat, the music makes you feel as though your standing at the edge of a precipice ready to jump—it’s a wonderful feeling.
As the track comes to a close, light clashes with dark, images mesh and sparkle as our space helmet gal is sat staring into a glass ball. Maybe she’s dreaming, maybe she’s lost, or a little bit of both. Either way, Cave Painting’s “Rio” is spectacular.
