UK Artist of the Week,
Yeah Saint Paul

Before summer, Yeah Saint Paul was merely a project that Angel Rivers was working on. Angel had spent tireless months bringing his vision to fruition and the end result was the debut album Women Are Stoned.

The release is an odd little journey into Angel’s heart and soul. The album is all about self-discovery, expanding horizons, and self-belief, with the title being an ode to women whom he claims have been the ones who have shown him real kindness in life. Ah, how lovely.

The journey Angel takes us on is one through childlike eyes and you can hear that through the music. There’s something very magical and whimsical about the way each track is composed, each taking a quirky turn as Angel quietly sings to us his story.

Yeah Saint Paul’s debut is lovely and strange all at once. It feels as though Angel is putting out the feelers with this debut effort as he finds his feet as Yeah Saint Paul and whatever comes next, we have a feeling will surprise us… in the best of ways.
