Lewis Fieldhouse is a UK songwriter—obviously, otherwise he wouldn’t be our UK artist of the week—with a bit of a flair for a hook.
His latest single, “Not Done Loving You” (due out on April 13th) is a touching vignette that captures the feelings Lewis had encountering a former girlfriend when busking. Who hasn’t been there? Regardless of whether you initiated the break up or not, you’re always going to be self-conscious in that situation.
Thankfully, instead of going home, switching all the lights off and listening to Dido on a loop (people still listen to Dido, right? It’s been so long since I was single), he wrote a ridiculously catchy and heartfelt song about it, and then actually went through the process of getting it released. Much better than caterwauling outside her bedroom window at 3AM.
Lewis also makes up one of the four in alt rock outfit The Old Silent who toured with Morcheeba on their last full UK tour, so be sure to keep a close watch on the name—he’s on definitely onto something with his sound.
“Not Done Loving You” is released 13th of April 2015 via Theodore Washington Recordings.
