UK Artist of the Week: Humphrey Milles

It’s been well documented that Humphrey Milles has been around for a while, making music and playing live with some very well established acts—Ed Harcourt, KT Tunstall, and the late Amy Winehouse amongst others. But now that he’s released his album Tall Stories his future is looking very bright, indeed.

The recent double A-side single “Save Me / Tall Stories” was a real glimpse into the two sides of Humphrey.

On one hand, he has the ability to write big, bold, blustering indie anthems, and on the other he can turn his hand to classic sing along, heat felt numbers.

Humphrey Milles is an artist who really is an artist—he doesn’t use gimmicks, strange collaborations, or odd fashion choices to make himself standout or get ahead. Instead he’s relying on his music alone, and after all, when you trim the nonsense, that’s all that’s ever left.

The music.
