UK Artist of the Week: Fat Goth

We’ve been witness to great things with this raucous Dundee based three-piece.

Comparisons have been made to Mclusky, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, and Killing Joke, but Fat Goth straddle the line between brash and tongue-in-cheek, creating a style that belongs to them alone.

Their debut LP, Stud, features the previously released singles “Creepy Lounge” and “Debbie’s Dirty Harry,” but these are just the tip of the iceberg. From Mike Patton-esque warblings to beefy 11-minute epics, Fat Goth aren’t afraid to inject a little humour into their huge riffs and tight beats.

With all the positive noise coming from the alternative music press and fans alike, they are more than worthy of our very first Artist of the Week.
