Electro-pop’s current underground hero Pinemarten will release his debut album If You Thought There Was Any Doubt on November 28th. The track “Don’t Let Me Be Denied” has been released as a free download and is an excellent introduction to the album.
Having built up a reputation online with several lauded EP releases, as well as remixes for the likes of Jewellers, Sun Glitters and Museum of Bellas Artes, If You Thought There Was Any Doubt proves to be Pinemarten’s best yet. The album strikes a brilliant balance between upbeat pop and mellow synth pop balladry.
Comparisons with the likes of Chad Valley, Southern Shores and Washed Out, Pinemarten may be a new kid on the block but there’s no denying that his name will be rightly filed alongside his peers as one to watch in the coming months and years.
