This is a track from the recent critically acclaimed Peaking Lights LP ‘936’. This endearingly lo fi track is my pick from the record, with a timeless feel and an almost chilling aspect to it.
The beautifully underplayed soulfulness in Indra Dunis’ vocals propel the song to another level whilst the continuously warped guitar leads the track into a journey through a dreamy land. The flange filled piano break lifts the song into almost Chairlift pop song territory but not before the scratchy guitar solo brings us back down.
