The phrase ‘eagerly awaited’ is oft used in the media these days, and is liberally applied in the music press, in particular. However, here is a record that the term was made for. May 9th sees the release of the new album by Wild Beasts. The first single from the album is ‘Albatross’, which Domino Records have already made available as a download. An extremely limited 7” single version will be made available as a record Store Day exclusive on April 16th, and then released as a digital bundle on May 2nd. Here’s the official clip:
The album, Smother, will be released in special formats, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks, and the Kendal quartet will be heading out on a UK tour next month, ably supported by the excellent Summer Camp:
