The Live Music Capital of the World does its fair share of vinyl, too. Waterloo Records is a thirty year old independent record store in Austin, TX. Owner John Kuntz is a music purist – he’ll tell you about the “analog listening devices on the side of our head.” From the sound to the feel to the smell, Kuntz’ love for vinyl is a major part of who he is, and a major part of why his store has been so successful.
Waterloo Records recently lost a member of their family, Esme B., in a senseless act of violence perpetrated early morning on New Year’s Day. There has been a blog set up to help her family with expenses. Please go here to donate.
