The Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black became a hit upon its first episode streaming on the popular instant movie site last July. Since then, the original series, which is based on the memoir written by Piper Kerman, has been the recipient of numerous nominations and awards including the People’s Choice and Golden Globes.
Recently, another nomination was added to the series’ list. The series’ theme song “You’ve Got Time” by Regina Spektor was nominated for a Grammy award. The theme song, along with eleven other songs from Season 1 of the series, is featured on the Orange Is the New Black soundtrack, which was just released last month. Artists appearing on the soundtrack include Tune-Yards, Kelis, Betty Davis, The Staples Singers, The Velvet Underground, and more.
Though we can’t make the wait for the new season end any sooner, we can make it pass just a little bit quicker. We have a limited edition orange vinyl copy of the Orange Is the New Black soundtrack, and we’re giving it away!
Season 2 of Orange Is the New Black is premiering in just a few days (June 6). The hit series was also just renewed for a third season.
To win the Orange Is the New Black soundtrack—pressed on limited edition orange vinyl—drop us a comment below naming your favorite movie or show about prison. I’m going to have to go with Prison Break.
A winner with a North American mailing address will be chosen on Tuesday, June 10.
