TVD Vinyl Giveaway: Nick Waterhouse, Holly, autographed LP

Mardi Gras may have been last week, but Nick Waterhouse’s latest release, Holly, keeps the jazzy, soulful vibe of New Orleans’ annual festivities going through its dance worthy tracks.

Though his sound is native to Louisiana, Nick Waterhouse is not. Born and raised in California, the singer-songwriter began his music career in 2002, playing underground music gigs in a band called Intelligista. Several years after the band ended, Waterhouse recorded and released a single titled “Some Place.” The single’s success earned Waterhouse a record deal with Innovative Leisure Records in 2011, with whom he released his first LP, Time’s All Gone.

Just last week, Waterhouse released his second LP, Holly. He also announced international tour dates for the upcoming months. In honor of the release of Holly, we’re giving away an autographed copy of the LP.

Holly features ten tracks that Waterhouse says were “heavily influenced by my surroundings in young Los Angeles, as well as the concept of fate.” Among the ten tracks is the single “This is a Game,” which features saxophone and organ solos and werewolf howls that are reminiscent to the sound of the mid-fifties, according to Rolling Stone.

To win an autographed copy of Hollyleave a comment below naming your favorite Fifties’ singer. Mine would have to be good ol’ Frank Sinatra.

A winner with a North American mailing address will be chosen one week from today on Thursday, March 20. Holly is on store shelves now!
