One could make the point that although it’s December and the proverbial holiday season, the spirit of giving runs through TVD 12 months and 52 weeks on the regular. (Which opens the door for me to plug our free GPS-based record store finder app that debuted yesterday…!)
In keeping with that generous spirit, we’ve got another vinyl giveaway for you today—Anthem Facility’s 12″ EP Trace, which has found itself often on the TVD turntables of late. The 5 track EP is a 150 gram pressing of just 300 copies and comes with a download card for the complete release.
The press bio stuff: “Anthem Facility is the latest creation of New York based producer Stephen Hermann, who has been making music for over 20 years. By teaming up with Melati Malay, an accomplished New York vocalist in her own right, Anthem Facility has created a nitch for itself in rising sub genre of chill wave.
The band was originally conceived for more commercial purposes, but eventually evolved into a personal endeavor for both Herman and Malay. While working on a campaign for Dell Computers, Herman was hired to compose original music for the brand. Out of that promotion, Anthem facility was born along with their debut EP Trace available now.”
