TVD Ticket Giveaway: We Were Promised Jetpacks in the city and venue of your choice

Scottish indie-rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks not only have a song titled “Safety in Numbers,” they’ve found safety in numbers—by adding another band member.

Formerly a four-piece, the band has added one more member to their lineup. Now a quintet, We Were Promised Jetpacks is composed of Adam Thompson, Michael Palmer, Sean Smith, Darren Lackie, and Stuart McGachan. On the addition of McGachan, lead singer Thompson says, “It has just been the four of us since about April 2004, so having someone new with us has been an enjoyable part of the process.”

The band is kickstarting their North American tour this Friday, October 17, and they’ll be playing shows from coast to coast and Canada.

Want to see We Were Promised Jetpacks live? We’re giving away a pair of tickets to not one, but three winners to the show in the city of your choice. Find out how to win as well as what cities the band will be playing below.

Three years after the release of their last album, Unravelling arrives in stores today (October 14) and is said to be “the most balanced, most experimental, and best all-around LP in their discography” by Consequence of Sound. Two singles from the album have been released. The first, titled “Safety in Numbers,” arrived earlier this year and the second, and latest single, “I Keep It Composed,” features a different take on what to expect from the new LP.

The band has recently released the music video for the single “I Keep It Composed” featuring an interesting and rather ironic story line. Filmed from an eagle-eye perspective, it tells the story of a plane crash survivor who is keeping it composed despite the chaotic situation he finds himself in. Pun intended.

Enter to win tickets to see We Were Promised Jetpacks in the city and on the date of your choice from the tour itinerary below by leaving a comment citing the track—older or brand new—you’d most like to hear performed live AND the city and date where you’d like to catch the band.

Three winners will be notified directly via email on Friday, October 17. Tickets to any of the dates are still available for purchase.

We Were Promised Jetpacks’ brand new LP, Unravelling arrives in stores today, October 14, on limited edition yellow vinyl.
