Is it just me, or is 2013 the year of the ‘80s revival? Not that I’m complaining because all my favorite acts from the decade have been making the rounds this year (and bringing back all big hair with them).
The female rock duo Heart, alongside Jason Bonham’s “Led Zeppelin Experience” have joined forces onstage and are taking their show on the road. The aptly named, “Heartbreaker Tour 2013” is coming to Jiffy Lube Live this Tuesday, June 25, and we’ve got two pairs of Pavilion tickets to give away.
Back in December 2012, Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, performed the Led Zeppelin classic “Stairway to Heaven” at the Kennedy Center Honors as part of a tribute to surviving members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones. On stage they were joined by Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin drummer, the late John Bonham, and a kinship was fostered.
Bonham has kept the legacy and the music of Led Zeppelin alive through sold-out tours as the “Led Zeppelin Experience” and given a new voice to one of the most iconic rock bands of all time.
“Nancy and I and the rest of Heart are thrilled to be playing with Jason and his band this summer. Awesome rock n roll music everynight…miracles apt to happen any old time.” Nancy adds to Ann’s sentiments, “It’s not a tribute as we have the blessings of the gods themselves.”
Jason adds, “What a great night it was for us at the Kennedy Center awards, and now to be able to do it again on the road with Ann and Nancy is such an honor for me. I am really looking forward to taking my Led Zep Experience show out this summer with Heart and to join them in a Zep-a-thon closing the show as well. Just fantastic!”
