TVD Premiere and
7″ Single Giveaway:
The Jane Shermans,
“I Walk Alone”

Landing somewhere between Joan As Police Woman and Nikka Costa, The Jane Shermans punctual rock flirts with the mainstream while inventing its own brand of funked up, punk disco.

The Nashville based duo is made up of Eulene Sherman and industry heavyweight Angelo Petraglia, who is fresh off a Grammy nod for producing Kings of Leon’s latest album, Mechanical Bull. The production here is definitely memorable, but it is Eulene’s knack for disjointed T.S. Eliot-like poetry that provides the song’s lasting satisfaction—an authentic chronicle of midnight loneliness that is tainted with such stark beauty it’s no wonder it ended up on the new Grand Theft Auto soundtrack.

The Jane Shermans release a limited edition 7” of their single “Shotgun” b/w today’s debut of “I Walk Alone” on October 15th—although fans of the newly formed band have taken to the internet with their own uploads and vids of the song. A sure-fire sign that this 7”—and The Jane Shermans—have legs and a life of its own.

Enter to win The Jane Shermans’ 7″ single “Shotgun” b/w “I Walk Alone” by telling us in the comments below why YOU, walking alone and all, deserve to have the single sent your way. We’ll choose 2 convincing winners with North American mailing addresses a week from today, 10/9.
