In the meantime, enter to win one of our picks of already-released material for your lists of the nice, or if you prefer, naughty.
I am a big Scattered Trees fan, ever since seeing their viral Star Wars-themed video for “Love and Leave,” and their album Sympathy has been on rotation on my playlists since it was released in April. Last week, however, Lexington, Kentucky’s Soul Step Records finally released the album on vinyl! We have a limited edition clear copy for one lucky reader.
Only 100 of the clear set were pressed, and as of last week, there were only 25 left.
Soul Step Records has a unique business plan in that they can get your album on vinyl at no cost to you:
Soul Step Records wants to release the Vinyl version of records from bands who do not have the funding to get Vinyl pressed. We pay all the upfront costs of production and marketing, and once we’ve made our investment, the rest of the profits are split evenly between Soul Step and the band. A win-win for both parties, and the chance to have your record pressed and listened to the way music should be, ON VINYL.
Their very first release is this Scattered Trees album, which is available in clear or black.
Full disclosure: They sent me one, and goddamn, it is sexy.
For a chance to win your own, tell us in the comments below, your favorite album ON VINYL.
The winner will be chosen after we return from the holiday on Monday, November 28th, and must have a mailing address in North America.
