Fresh off of yesterday’s BFD performance, Foster the People celebrate the release of their new album,Torches, with a live set at Amoeba San Francisco. Their infectious, electronic-tinged, danceable pop is the perfect way to kick off the summer! Purchase your CD at Amoeba to get it signed and meet the band after the show.
Los Angeles electro-rockers Foster The People have been seeding this long-anticipated release via show-stopping performances at Coachella and SXSW—not to mention their eponymous EP earlier this year with the hit lo-fi single, “Pumped Up Kicks”—but Torches as a whole is the synthpop sublime. Other tracks that’ll stick with you with halcyon choruses and Mark Foster’s soaring vocals are opener “Helena Beat” and “Call It What You Want.”
These guys are right on the verge of “blowing up” and will very likely be selling out the Fillmore next time they come to town. Take advantage of this opportunity to see Foster The People for free before the masses catch on. On top of that, Amoeba is such a fantastic place to see live bands and meet some like minded record fanatics.
Are you heading to Amoeba tonight? Did you see Foster The People play Sunday at BFD?
