This evening, one of the more interesting rock bands to ever emerge from Fort Worth, Texas is playing the uptown club. The Toadies have been around since the late 1980s, but disbanded in 2001 only to reform in 2008.
This uncompromising group’s music revolves around the songs of singer/guitarist Todd Lewis. Their first album produced an unlikely hit called, “Possum Kingdom,” but their second release, Feeler was rejected by Interscope Records, the band’s label at time. Last year, they re-released the album.
Since regrouping with a new bassist, the band has been steadily gaining steam. They played an intense set at Lollapalooza in Chicago earlier this month and have been touring relentlessly to ecstatic audiences at a number of sold out shows.
