Tonight kicks off a weekly duo series curated by Marc Stone dubbed the “Dynamic Duos” in one of the most picturesque settings in the French Quarter.
Since the dissolution of the Radiators nearly a year ago, Camile Baudoin has been honing his chops with his new group, the Living Rumors as well as playing in other settings. Stone is an-always busy guitarist whose sound is rooted in the blues but is adept in every genre. It should be an interesting night. The performance is from 6:30 to 9:30 PM and drink specials are promised. There is no cover charge.
Galvez is an authentic Spanish restaurant that is located on the site of the sorely missed Bella Luna. It overlooks the Mississippi River and is accessed from Decatur Street and St. Phillip in the French Quarter.
Stone has big plans for the series, which will continue each Wednesday. The rest of the March schedule features Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes on March 14, Jimmy Messa of the subdudes on March 21 and Jon Gros of Papa Grows Funk on March 28.
