TVD Giveaway: Leave a Comment to Win Free Tickets to Wanda Jackson At Tipitina’s

Sunday night, the Queen of Rockabilly makes her first appearance in New Orleans since her latest album, The Party Ain’t Over, which was produced by Jack White of the White Stripes and the Dead Weather, was released.

Jackson first began recording while she was still in high school in the 1950s. She is regarded as one of the first female rock ‘n’ roll singers. She was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 as an early influence.

Though she is in her seventies, Jackson still puts on an impressive show. As my colleague Geraldine Wyckoff likes to say, “don’t miss the legends.” This lady surely is one of the greats.

Holly Golightly & The Broke-Offs is the opening act. This is an early show. The doors are at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM.

To win a pair of tickets, leave a comment below. Winners will be chosen at random and notified Saturday morning.

Here she is performing with Jack White on Conan a few months back.
