Amid all of the hullabaloo about the French Quarter Festival, there is a great show coming to One Eyed Jack’s on Saturday night and TVD has a pair of tickets to give to a lucky commenter.
Lyrics Born is a Japanese American rapper who matriculated through the University of California in Davis with fellow hip hop stars Gift of Gab, Chief Xcel of Blackalicious, Lateef the Truthspeaker, DJ Shadow, Joseph Patel, and Jeff Chang (formerly known as DJ Zen).
In October of 2003, he released his first solo record, Later That Day, which featured thee hit single, “Callin’ Out.” His most recent album, As U Were came out last summer.
His educated flow led to another career. In 2008 he became a voice over announcer.
