I wrote book! It’s out now! It’s about the New Orleans Radiators. They are breaking up after 33-1/3 years together with the same original lineup. This is a record for bar bands and I think only U2 beats them in the rock ‘n’ roll genre. They have played over 4,500 shows together and I went to a bunch of them.
You can get my book right here! It’s only $14.99 and ships right to your door. You can also read about it on my web site.
Now for some TVD content- in 1978 the Radiators released their first 45-RPM single, a double entendre ditty called “Suck the Heads, Squeeze the Tips.” It’s about eating crawfish, really! This single is collector’s item that will undoubtedly go up in value.
In May of 1980, they recorded a live double album at Tipitina’s called “Work Done On Premises.” It has been re-released on CD.
