This afternoon the innovative series returns for the fourth season with the Stooges Brass Band and Mia Borders.
In what is soon to be a highly anticipated harbinger of Fall, Armstrong Park will be alive again with music, food, vendors and festivities as the People United For Armstrong Park renew the twice-yearly concert series.
The Stooges Brass Band will bring their stage show, complete with a trap drummer, and Mia Borders will electrify the crowd with her stellar guitar work and ace band.
Jazz in the Park returns for nine straight weeks this fall, running from September 5th to October 31st, with a stellar roster of New Orleans music that features The Soul Rebels, Rebirth Brass Band, Dumpstaphunk, Jon Cleary, and Davell Crawford, to name a few.
The hours of Jazz in the Park are now noon to 8PM, with the Tremé Nights after party happening at Kermit Ruffin’s Tremé Speakeasy from 8PM to 11PM. Kermit Ruffins will lead a second line to his place every week after the close of the show.
