The Louisiana Superdome will be the place to be on the 4th of July weekend for the annual celebration of African-American music. Mary J. Blige and Kanye West (pictured) are the biggest acts announced so far along with Jill Scott, Trey Songz, Mavis Staples, Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Boyz II Men, Stephanie Mills, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Macy Gray, Dwele, Alexander O’Neal and Cherrelle, Mint Condition, Kelly Price, and MC Lyte.
As usual local acts will be booked into the more intimate Super Lounges. So far, the organizers announced that Irma Thomas, Kourtney Heart, the Rebirth Brass Band, Charmaine Neville and the TBC Brass Band will be appearing.
