Alex McMurray and Truth Universal to Talk about Culture and Money

The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and Loyola University is presenting its first installment of the “People Say” Project. Doors open this evening at 5pm for a happy hour reception featuring complimentary beer from Abita, pizza from Slice, and cupcakes from Cupcake Fairies. The interview will begin at 6pm. The discussion is at the LEH’s office at 938 Lafayette Street in the CBD.

The event is designed to be conversation and is being moderated by Brian Boyles, the Program Director of the LEH.

I don’t know Truth, but I have known Alex since his college days in the late 1980s. His songwriting with groups like Royal Fingerbowl and Tin Men attest to his erudite take on the human condition. But what fans of his music may not know is that he his one of the funniest people in conversation with a quick wit. It should be an interesting evening to say the least.
