Welcome to our weekly check in with our friends in Louisville, KY, ear X-tacy! This week: their Top 5 vinyl best sellers followed by the details of their Record Store Day Celebration. But before we get to that check this out:
You’re looking at one of the INCREDIBLY limited edition My Morning Jacket exclusive Record Store Day releases that you’ll ONLY be able to find at ear X-tacy and at CD Central in Lexington. Only 600 of these white label MMJ records exist worldwide — 300 at ear X-tacy, and 300 at CD Central. A huge thanks to the band for making this happen!

One of our absolute favorite days of the year is back and bigger than ever!!!
RECORD STORE DAY will be taking place here at ear X-tacy all day long on Saturday, April 16th from 9am-8pm! Yes, that is the same day as Thunder over Louisville, we promise we didn’t plan it that way! 🙂 In typical RECORD STORE DAY fashion there will be TONS of VERY limited releases coming out from many of your favorite artists (the full list of titles coming out is below). Because of the limited nature of these releases, there is a strict limit of one copy per person of available items, just to make it fair for everyone. Hundreds of releases come out on RSD, and ear X-tacy will be carrying a good portion of them. If you see something on the list that you are really hoping to get your hands on, please swing by the shop and let us know! We’ll do our best do bring in as many of these titles as possible. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHOWING UP AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO BROWSE THE BEST SELECTION OF THESE LIMITED TITLES! Should be a lot of fun, and what record shopping is all about!
ALSO, as a VERY special treat, we will have live music here in the store beginning around 1pm! Nationally acclaimed bluegrass outfit, MOUNTAIN HEART, will be playing a free in-store here at 1pm, followed be a few other acts soon to be announced including ear X-tacy favorites, THOMAS A. MINOR & THE PICKET LINE!!! Bands and time slots will be announced soon!
