Although there are stories of two people falling in love and making beautiful music all over the world, for a talented couple whose art is grown from Southern American roots, their tale is a Carolina Story.
The darling duo comes to town tonight to play at the The Hi-Tone Cafe. The couple of lovebirds have been burning through the States on the heels of the release of their newest full-length album, the inviting and comforting Home. The album is an earnest effort in all things folk with a leaning on sweet melodies and sweeter lyrics. Come catch Carolina Story as they play new and old material that will have you pining for your main squeeze.
To make the night go from awesome to frickin’ fantastic, Memphis-based Star & Micey are also billed. The folk pop trio overflow with positive energy and tender-yet-powerful songwriting that will have you stomping your feet, clapping your hands, and singing along all night long.
Past Carolina Story’s romantic bent and Star & Micey’s neatly packaged folk pop, the night will also host the talents and delicate art of Dillon Hodges. Hodges delivers songs that seem simple on the surface, disguising well thought-out chord progressions and complex guitar fills.
