Rooney’s Not In My House Tour will make a stop in our humble town this Tuesday the 22nd at the Hi-Tone. Supporting their third full-length, Eureka, the band embarked on this tour at the beginning of the month, and it will come to a close on the 26th in Salt Lake City.
Recorded on their own dime in lead singer Robert Schwartzman’s new home studio, Eureka is everything you’d expect from this California power-pop/rock band, but with a better tone. These guys put out some of the sunniest, catchiest, pure songs with absolutely no pretense. I mean, you can’t hate ’em. Even if you don’t like the songs! This band is just really great at putting out solid California music that the rest of the country can be down with.
And they bring all that west coast energy to the stage, too, for a real rock and roll show. Much like the headliner, opening band Eisley has garnered an extremely loyal national fan base. This family band of siblings and a cousin puts on a solid stage show, as well. And they’ve got a new record coming out March 1st.
Seriously, don’t miss a great American rock and roll show this Tuesday night…they’re in short supply in their own country. $15, doors at 9, show at 10.
