The very first Girlschool Field Day Weekend was held at Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles. Girlschool is a new music and arts collective founded by Anna Bulbrook (The Bulls, the Airborne Toxic Event) that aims to support and celebrate female musicians and artists.
The festival stretched over three nights and included a dynamic and eclectic range of some of LA’s most popular female fronted acts such as Kitten, Veruca Salt, White Sea, The Bulls, Dead Sara, Conway, Kera and the Lesbians, Gothic Tropic, and Kim and the Created.
The first evening began with a discussion panel moderated by Eve Barlow (NME, Spin, Vice, Noisey) and featured several top women leaders in the music industry. All proceeds from Girlschool Weekend will be donated to Rock n’ Roll Camp For Girls LA.
