LolLApalooza: LA Brings The Noise To Chicago

I have to tell you right now that I’m a full fledge Chicago girl. I was born and raised in that gorgeous city and even though I call Los Angeles my second home, my hometown always knows how to host a party. And it feels good to be back home for Lollapalooza. Ah Lolla, It’s always good to see you.

Now nothing makes me happier than when my hometown and second home collide. So Chicago, I would like to introduce you to some friends of mine from LA. Let’s show them a good time.

Foster The People
Oh you Foster boys with your pretty boy looks and catchy hooks. All your shows sell out and “Pumped Up Kicks” was clearly one of the biggest songs of the year. I don’t know what I look forward to seeing more, the hype or the crowd. Either way, Foster could prove to be one of the more interesting bands playing opening day.

Fitz and the Tantrums
Holy mother of all that is, well, holy. If Fitz and the Tantrums soulful grooves don’t move you, you must be dead. Fitz and the Tantrums are so soul cool that their mod cool. And quite frankly no one rocks 80’s inspired blonde bangs these days like Fitz. Listen and fall in love.

Local Natives
Local Natives, such lovely harmonies and beautiful songs. I wish I were cool enough to enjoy you from the front row, but since I’m not I will listen to you from afar, watching hipster girls cry-dance to your pretty tunes.

Best Coast
If Los Angeles were a mixtape, Best Coast would be the first track on it. Surf guitar plus Bethany Causation gorgeous 60’s girl group vocals are so sunny and infectiously bright it’s guaranteed to bring the surf to Lake Michigan.

Daedelus
Those looking to chillax after three full days of concert festival
goodness, look no further, Daedelus will be spinning some synthy square wave goodness at Perry’s on Sunday. Deadelus’ set will wrap up your weekend like a lovely bow on a birthday present. Let the sounds soothe you, kids. The next day you have to get your sunburnt ass back to work.
