Welcome, TVD Dallas!

Today we have the pleasure of introducing the sixteenth city in the TVD Network, TVD Dallas! TVD Dallas Editor Charles Jordan was a writer for TVD Austin and recently relocated, bringing TVD along with him. We’re glad he managed to fit us in that suitcase.

Dallas is a sprawling city, overlapping five different counties, that grew up on oil and cotton. When you first drive into the city, the theme song from the old TV show is blasted.

JUST KIDDING. I actually convinced one of my companions that the Dallas theme song would be played as we were landing at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, but y’all are just too smart for that.

Seriously though, Dallas is home to the kind of thriving, sprawling music scene that would befit such a metropolis. This year, the Electric Daisy Festival returns to Fair Park with house and electro artists such as Paul van Dyk, Diplo, and Green Velvet. Dallas is also a stop on the ID Festival featuring Steve Aoki, DJ Shadow, The Crystal Method, and Holy Ghost! among many others if you didn’t get all that dancing out at the Electric Daisy Festival.

And of course, Charles and team will be covering rock, hip hop, and much more at venues such as The Loft, Palladium Ballroom, South Side Music Hall, Granada Theater, and House of Blues Dallas.

It may be a Lone Star state, but TVD now has two powerhouses there. Welcome, TVD Dallas! My apologies that you won’t be able to get that theme song out of your head for the rest of the day.
