Sloan is one of those bands that is probably an influence of a lot of bands you like, you just don’t know it. Originally starting out with a heavier, more guitar-driven sound, the band was once called Canada’s answer to Nirvana (if that gives you a hint as to how long they have been around).
Sloan plays with more of a poppy melody and harmonizing mindset these days, and that sound is showcased well in their new album, The Double Cross, which one lucky reader can win a vinyl copy of today.
