It’s winter, so we want to be all snuggly in the cold because despite the frigid air, our hearts are warm and smushy. So. . . we’re giving you, dear Reader, a chance to win Jonquil’s new One Hundred Suns EP. Oh, we feel so giving and cuddly.
Oxford, UK band Jonquil ranges from peppy folk-pop to quirky math-rock. They have categorized themselves as “Paul Simon’s take on The Smiths.” One Hundred Suns is their first stateside release, coming out on New York’s Dovecote label (home to The Futureheads and Hooray For Earth). And isn’t the cover so cheerful and fun? Er. . . Perhaps we’ve been stuck inside for too long. . .
Perfectly apropos to their music, Jonquil is a shade of yellow.
To enter to win the EP, just tell us in the comments another unique or odd name for a color, and describe the color. Our favorite description gets the prize.
The winner will be chosen Tuesday (2/1) at noon.
