Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is making the rounds with its smart collection of rock stand outs. The festival features Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction, Coheed and Cambria, and more. We’ve got Pavilion tickets to give away for the show at the Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA, this Friday, and getting them couldn’t be much easier.
It seems Alice in Chains never slow down. Old and new fans alike have shown affinity for the new iteration that now features vocalist William Duvall at the helm. This year, Alice in Chains released The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, including heavy lead single “Hollow,” staying loyal to the sounds the band conjured in the early ’90s.
While there have been periods of separation during their almost-thirty years together, the past few years since their last reunion have been quite busy for Jane’s Addiction. In 2011, they released The Great Escape Artist, with a rumored follow-up on the way. Original members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, and Stephen Perkins have stayed core members. Though bassist Eric Avery left a few years ago, the band continues to tour and make music.
Coheed and Cambria is always just around the corner from finishing another epic in the The Armory Wars universe. Lead singer/songwriter Claudio Sanchez has written an intriguing complex fiction story over the course over Coheed’s discography. The new album continues in this theme and expands on their already diverse musical range.
The show also includes Circa Survive and more, giving any off-kilter rock fan a reason to go.
To get tickets, tell us your favorite band that like to split up and get back together. Since At The Drive-In reunited for a show, that’s where my vote goes.
Two winners will be chosen at noon on Thursday, August 15. Tickets are still available.
