The Moscow transplant acquired worldwide acclaim from her 2006 album Begin to Hope and its resulting single “Fidelity” and kept her following coming back with 2008’s Far, another out-there yet accessible spoonful of educated pop.
This year marks the release of her sixth album What We From the Cheap Seats, an odyssey into past songs and old melodies that Spektor has reworked. The songstress has been tearing through the states promoting the collection of aged ideas that have been freshly spun and lands at the Lyric this fall.
