OMD break out the synthesizers at 9:30 Club this Thursday (3/10), and we have a pair of tickets for you to relive your new wave dreams from the ’80s. (I already told you mine.)
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark just started their North American tour in support of History of Modern, their eleventh studio album. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that the limited edition 10″ single of the title track includes a B-side cover of “VCR” by The xx.
“If You Want It” was the first single released from the album, followed by “Sister Marie Says” and then “History of Modern (Part 1),” and the video for “If You Want It” was their first music video in fourteen years.
The chorus of “If You Want It” begins
If you want it, it will come,
Through the rain and burning sun
Over hills and far away
Nothing stops this, not today
To win the tickets to the show, simply comment below, what would you fill in for this?
For example, “Nothing stops this tiger-blooded warlock, not today.” I preemptively used @CharlieSheen (we don’t care that he doesn’t type his own tweets), and we know you’re probably getting tired of his winning, so please, no more tiger blood posts. You can still talk about bangin’ 7 gram rocks, but that was so last week.
The winner will be chosen Wed (3/9) at noon.
