TVD Ticket Giveaway: Incubus with Young
the Giant at MPP, 9/11

Now that Labor Day has come and gone, it is time to prepare for the fall season. This, however, does not mean the doors to the Merriweather Post Pavillion are shut until the spring. No no no, there are still a handful of great shows left, including Incubus with Young the Giant this Sunday (9/11).

TVD is giving away a pair of lawn tickets to this show, so forget begging to borrow a car, Washingtonians, and reserve your spot on the new Rock and Bus service from DC to Merriweather, since you won’t want to pass this up!

With the release of their sixth studio album If Not Now, When? back in July, multi-platinum rock band Incubus returns to Washington, DC on their North American tour. With a music style that has undergone many a transformation in the last decade, concert goers can certainly look forward to Incubus’s diverse sound—everything from grunge to psychedelic to hip-hop infused rock.

Opening for the California rockers will be Young the Giant, an up-and-coming indie rock band fresh off of their audience-winning performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. (Yes, that still exists… somehow.) If this is the first time you are hearing the name, then check out “My Body”; it’s almost guaranteed to win you over.

For your chance to win two ticket to see Incubus, let us know if not now, when? by giving us a song/album/band with a time or date. “5:19” by Matt Wertz is always a good time, especially for a beer—after all it’s 5:19 somewhere, right?

The winner will be chosen on Thursday (9/8) at noon.
