TVD Ticket Giveaway: George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic at the 9:30 Club, 2/11

There’s a big difference between wanting and needing something. Some folks need fresh air, some folks need to exercise, but others, others… need the funk.

Legendary funk all-stars George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will be coming to the 9:30 Club on February 11, and we’ve got a pair tickets to give away for a couple of very lucky funk junkies! How can you get ahold of such a get? The answer is simpler than you may think…

Since the 1970s, George Clinton has been the ambassador of funk. Founder of the Parliament Funkadelic collective, Clinton has been at the forefront of the funk music scene, first with his band in the ’70s, then later solo (while featuring much of the Parliament Funkadelic band). His current live show comes with the band that has backed him for years and the sweet, strong taste of funk permeates the set.

So, how could you possibly be the lucky funkmeister that gets the tix?

It’s simple! In the comments below, tell us your favorite act that’s had a lasting cultural impact by being at the forefront of their own movement. Since I’m a fan of all things that go beep bop boop in the night, I’m going to have to go with Kraftwerk.

One winner for the pair will be chosen on noon on Friday, February 8! Tickets are still available.
