TVD Ticket Giveaway: Echo and The Bunnymen at 9:30 Club, 5/11

We told you yesterday that ’80s British post-punk fans should hit us up today, and here you are. Echo and The Bunnymen’s last release was 2009′s The Fountain, but they’re currently on a special North American tour where they will play their first two classic albums Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here, with a stop at 9:30 Club on Wednesday night (5/11). We have a chance for you to win a pair of tickets.

Eighties fanatic that I am, Echo and The Bunnymen instantly remind me of classic teen flick Pretty in Pink. [My favorite!] The Lost Boys (another classic ’80s flick), Donnie Darko (set in the ’80s), and Gross Pointe Blank (starring ’80s hero John Cusack) all also feature Echo and The Bunnymen’s songs on their soundtracks. Do I see a theme here?

To win the tickets, simply tell us your favorite ’80s song.

Because I’m thinking about Pretty in Pink (again—OMD at 9:30 Club in March also sent me on a PIP nostalgia trip), I’m going to go with OMD’s “If You Leave.”

The winner will be chosen Monday (5/9) at noon.
