Mondays suck, but that doesn’t mean they have to drag down the rest of the week with them. Tuesdays are known to be a little bit better, and can help you to cope through the work week. We just made them even better.
We are giving away a pair of tickets to see DJ Shadow perform at the Fillmore Silver Spring this Tuesday, March 27th. So you can wake up with a smile Monday knowing that Tuesday night is going to be filthy fun.
DJ Shadow (aka Josh Davis) has been cranking out unbelievable records since 1991, and his talent has been unquestioned after the insane success of 1996’s Entroducing. Often described as an experimental hip hop trailblazer, DJ Shadow’s tracks show an unrivaled talent for sample mixing.
Scale It Back Remix EP is his latest project to be released on vinyl, although many of the album’s predecessors are also available on some hot wax. The EP is from his most recent album The Less You Know, The Better.
In order to win your free pair of tickets, and perhaps freedom from the shackles of work week depression, tell us in the comment box below your favorite song that expresses the intolerance for the mundane, be it the drone of weekly routine, work, school, or anything else you find particularly dismal.
Our pick would have to be “I Don’t Like Mondays” by The Boomtown Rats. Hey, at least it has a cheery beat.
The winner will be chosen at noon on Monday, March 26th.
