Spinning on the record players of all the smarter girls who like Michael Cera-esque boys and people who can read words with more than three syllables is always the Ben Kweller vinyl.
Kweller, a singer-songwriter from California, has made a name for himself through clever lyricism, dry wit, and a heavy amount of heady charm. He’s been touring like crazy, he’s playing a show at the 9:30 Club this Friday, and we’ve got a pair of tickets for some lucky fans. Btw, did we mention this also includes a meet and greet?! You really don’t want to miss out on this one…
This year marks the release of Kweller’s 5th studio album Go Fly A Kite. The album was the first that Kweller had produced in-house at his label, The Noise Company, which worked out for the cowboy chorder with a fair amount of critical acclaim and repeated plays of the singles “Mean to Me” and “Jealous Girl” on college stations around the country.
With Kweller’s 5th album title being a command, in the comments below tell us your favorite album that commands the listener in its title.
Since my favorite guitar band is At The Drive-In, I’ll probably have to go with the Vaya EP.
The winner will be chosen on at noon on Thursday, October 18th. Tickets are still available. Good Luck!
