DC music advocate Listen Local First is celebrating its first birthday with a unique showcase of nine talented musicians collaborating with each other live.
The aptly named 9 Live hits the Black Cat Mainstage tomorrow, Friday, October 19th. Formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Justin Trawick, the Washington, DC-based collective, a rotating ensemble of solo artists, will perform up to 30 songs in rotation.
Over 100 artists have participated in the “The 9 Songwriter Series,” but the nine showcased this Friday are all artists who have been featured by Listen Local First over the past year. Check out each of the 9 Live before you swing by the Cat Friday night.
