TVD Prize Pack Giveaway: Monument Presents Small Black, A Benefit for Grassroots Group at DC9, TONIGHT

The Monument Music and Arts Festival is a socially-focused music festival that encourages its participants to advocate and support local charities. Monument encourages participating bands to pick an organization to receive part of the proceeds from the festival, while Monument educates fans on the cause. Tonight, Thursday, August 11th, Monument is bringing Small Black, Outputmessage, and Cigarette to DC9 to benefit homegrown non-profit Grassroots Reconciliation Group.

Grassroots Reconciliation Group rehabilitates former child soldiers and helps reconcile them with their communities, establishing economic, educational, and community growth in war-torn northern Uganda.

Small Black are Brooklyn trendsetters helping lead a certain “chillwave” movement alongside acts like Washed Out and Toro Y Moi. Monument and Jagjaguwar have been so awesome as to offer one lucky winner a Small Black prize back of epic proportions to include:

  • Small Black New Chain LP
  • Small Black Self-Titled EP on CD
  • Small Black Posters
  • Monument Event Poster (that awesome bear up top)

For a chance to win this fabulous prize pack, tell us in the comments below, the last good deed you did. If you are a rotten person, you’d better be creative.

We’ll choose a winner Thursday (8/18). The winner must have a mailing address in the continental US or Canada.

Support great music and a great cause! Make sure you don’t snooze on your tickets to Monument Presents Small Black: A Benefit for Grassroots Group, tonight at DC9.
