Paul Banks, also known as the frontman for the rock band Interpol, rolled into DC on Friday night at the recently and beautifully renovated Howard Theatre.
Banks’ original solo project, under the alias, Julian Plenti, is now defunct. His most current solo release, Banks, was written and recorded over two years while on the road with Interpol, and was released in October of 2012.
This tour included openers, The Neighbourhood, a mysterious new band rock band with hip-hop influences from California. Their only current release is an EP, “I’m sorry.” They have since signed a deal with Columbia Records, and are planning a full length release for early 2013.
