We know we’re onto something with these thrice-yearly DC Record Fairs when the local media is scooping us on our own event—as our friends at the Washington City Paper reported just yesterday. However, that will not deter us from our formal announcement here at TVD:
The DC Record Fair returns, Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Artisphere in Arlington, VA.!
We’ll have 36 vendors from up and down the East Coast augmented by our ever-revolving Guest DJs, food, drinks, and everything you’ve become accustomed to.
The DC Record Fair
Sunday, October 23, 2011
Artisphere
1101 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA
11 AM – Noon – $5 admission (early bird)
12PM – 5PM – $2 general admission
You’ll recall that this is our second Record Fair at Artisphere and to put it mildly, the previous event at the year-old venue was rather “well attended.” OK, it was crowded. We get it.
To alleviate some of the crowding, we’re removing the DJ decks (circled below) off of the vendor floor for what we hope and expect to be a better flow to the room so you can browse a bit more freely. That said, our line-up of six of DC’s most eclectic DJs will still be spinning all day while you shop.
(It sorta got tight there in the center last time, hm?)
That said, we look forward to seeing you on 10/23 with a dynamic that promises to be a bit more free flowing.
Artisphere is two blocks from the Rosslyn Metro. Free parking in the building garage (entrance on N. Kent Street) on weekends with validation, obtained at the front desk.
The Washington, DC Record Fair is brought to you by Som Records, DC Soul Recordings, and us!
