Music Millennium‘s fearless leader Terry Currier was kind enough to pass on a bit of information about what the shop has in store for Record Store Day 2011.
Not only will they be offering up plenty of exclusive vinyl for sale, but they will be welcoming the members of the hard rock outfit Deftones into the store to sign copies of the band’s Record Store Day release Covers. Pressed on limited edition vinyl, the LP is a collection of cover songs done by the band, including tracks by The Cars, Drive Like Jehu, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
According to the press release (which you can read below), if you want to secure your place in line to meet the ‘tones, you’ll want to be one of the first 100 people to purchase Covers on Record Store Day. So, don’t dawdle, Deftones fans.

Deftones autograph signing 2:00 – 3:00 PM: As kids, the Sacramento fivesome cut its teeth on Anthrax and The Smiths, Pantera and The Cure, skateboarding and “The Smurfs.” As a band out of high school, Deftones mixed trip hop with thrash, melodic vocals with crushing reverb, and pretty with ugly. As chart-toppers and headliners, they’ve crossed over genres, and defied categorization.
To commemorate Record Store Day, Deftones will be releasing a special edition Covers LP. This LP is a collection of classic Deftones cover tracks, pressed together on limited edition vinyl for the first time ever. The set spans a wide range of genres, including covers from artists The Cure, Drive Like Jehu, The Cars, The Smiths, Lynyrd Skynrd and Duran Duran.
