JOIE DE VIVRE at the Subterranean, 4/6
Playing what they call “Midwestern Emo”, Rockford’s Joie De Vivre is back on the scene after a brief six month break up. Following their well-recieved debut album, Summer Months, Joie De Vivre recently released The North End on Michigan’s Count Your Lucky Stars. With the addition of horns and keys, the records 11 tracks add a refreshing element to the indie/emo genre. Check out the track “Upper Deck San Diego”, from The North End, below.
While The North End on vinyl is currently sold out through Count Your Lucky Stars, you can pick up their split 7” with Annabel, Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), and The Reptilian on purple or yellow vinyl for just $5.
