From Dublin, Ireland, guitar player and composer, Cian Nugent, is making his Chicago debut this Friday at Reckless Records.
Supporting his debut studio album, Doubles, Nugent puts his skill as a solo 6 and 12 string guitarist to good use across two twenty-minute tracks.
Combining a fully orchestrated sound with his deeply personal style, Nugent manages to create music that utilizes influences from the blues, jazz, traditional composition, and ‘70s singer-songwriters.
Released in June, on US label VHF Records, Reckless will have Doubles available for purchase at the acoustic show.
The free show starts at 5:00 PM at Reckless Record’s Wicker Park location – 1532 N. Milwaukee Ave.
You can also catch Nugent later, at 10:00 PM, when he opens for Josephine Foster at the Hideout.
