TVD Recommends: Archie Powell & the Exports record
release show at the Subterranean, 4/27

Feeling a bit burnt out after the craziness of Record Store Day? Well, you better pull yourself together, because this weekend Chicago’s Archie Powell & the Exports are gearing up to release their sophomore record, Great Ideas in Action.

The pop rock quartet has been gaining major traction across Chicago and the rest of the country and are preparing to embark on a 25 city tour across the US and Canada.

Archie Powell & the Exports will be celebrating the release and kicking off their tour at the Subterranean this Friday, 4/27. Grab all of the details you need, below.

The record is packed with social commentary and dark lyrical content all set against some unbelievably catchy pop rock. The dynamic makes for an extremely engaging album that layers a unique danceable energy into every track.

Great Ideas In Action, set to be released 5/1, is currently available for pre-order straight from the group’s online store for just $15. If waiting is not your thing, then you can snag an early copy at the release show this weekend. You can also pick up a vinyl copy of the debut full-length, Skip Work, while you’re there.

The 17+ show kicks off at the Subterranean (2011 W North Ave) at 9:00 PM. Archie Powell & the Exports will be supported by Panther Style, Sandman Viper Command, and Wally Dogger. Tickets are just $10, and are available in advance of the show through Ticketweb.
